About us

A community built by volunteers.

Ahiska Turks Cultural Center is the home of the Turkish and Ahiska Turkish community in Wheaton, Illinois and the western suburbs of Chicago.

Our story

Where families come together

Established in Illinois in 1997, our center was founded by volunteers from the Turkish community who wanted a place where families could gather, where children could learn who they are, and where neighbors of every background could get to know Turkish culture.

Today we carry that spirit forward. We pass our language, faith, history and values from one generation to the next, and we help our community feel at home in American society while keeping its identity.
