Turkish American Society of Wheaton & Ahiska Turks Cultural Center was founded by volunteers from The Turkish Community to promote Turkish culture in Wheaton. Turkish American Society provides a platform to Turks to come together and transfer to values of education, culture, language and history from one generation to another. TAS Wheaton aims to familiarize to Turkish people with American culture, compromising their identity and values.
Strenght of TAS-Wheaton comes from hard working and dynamic members who believe its success.
Turkish community and Ahiska Turks community, particularly its youth is in need of cultural education. Therefore education is in primary focus of TAS-Wheaton.
If we can not end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity.

Turkish American Society of Wheaton is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization established in Illinois in 1997. TAS plans and executes cultural, intercultural, educational, religious, charitable, literary, sporting, and social programs and activities.
The association works to strengthen intercultural community and ensure a positive experience for those who are willing to participate in cross cultural activities. TAS Wheaton also seeks to enrich the experience of the entire community by providing opportunities to engage and educate the community related to diversity.
